If getting away from it all and seeing some of the most beautiful and exciting countries of the world sounds like just your thing, then you may want to spend some time looking for traveling jobs. When you start exploring the many different opportunities for jobs that allow you to travel all over the country or even all over the world, you may find that some of your skills and experience are needed right now.

If you honestly crave the adventure and excitement that comes with traveling jobs and have nothing tying you down to your current life, then the following jobs may interest you.

Teaching Overseas

Many Americans are working as English teachers all over the world right now. Some have been in other countries for many years and lead full lives in some of the most exotic, unusual locations. Not only do they get the opportunity to pass on the English language but they come back with a second language of their own and a lot of rich cultural experience.

If you don't like the idea of living for years in another country, there are many traveling summer jobs for English teachers.

Skills in demand for this type of job include excellent command of the English language, some teaching experience or education, and the ability to work alongside people from other nationalities.

Tour Guides

English speaking tour guides are in demand in many overseas vacation hot spots, but you may also be able to find a guide position in Washington, D.C. or Hollywood. Any state where visitors regularly flock to take preplanned tours is an opportunity to find a job as a tour guide.

Often the only requirement for this type of job is some knowledge of the areas you will be giving tours of, though many tour companies will give you a detailed script to follow so you can learn on the job.

If you are already bilingual, you may find yourself in very high demand in countries that speak your secondary language.

Employment at Sea

Have you ever thought of working on a cruise ship? Every ship that sets sail full of vacationers needs a well trained staff to keep things running smoothly. They are routinely hiring wait staff, chefs, and night time entertainment just to name a few positions.

If you enjoy animals or find the ocean fascinating, why not get a degree and study dolphins, sharks, or become a deep sea diver?

Archeology

You would definitely need a higher degree to become an archeologist, but if you plan on college anyway and want to travel in the future archeology is a great selection. You can end up traveling the world digging up bones and other artifacts. This is a very exciting field to study and work in which can gives you access to many of the most remote areas of the world.

There are many, many other types of traveling jobs to consider. Make a list of skills and experience that you have right now and then start thinking about what type of jobs could be in demand in other states or countries that may be the perfect match. Start with a couple traveling summer jobs and see if you are still thirsty for longer "vacation" jobs.

What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
