Mobile Application Developer Lead
Position Summary Description:
The Mobile Application Developer Lead will work in a team environment as a senior technologist. The Lead will design, develop and build high quality mobile applications, as well as enhance and maintain existing applications. The role operates in an Agile/Scrum environment and requires an excellent understanding of the full software lifecycle, including functional requirement gathering, design and development, testing of software applications and documenting requirements and technical specifications. The role will help provide direction to junior to mid-level developers.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
Technical development lead for initiatives and projects as assigned. Mentor junior to mid-level developers.
Create well written design documentation from business requirements, and communicate well to all levels.
Act as the Senior Mobile Developer for initiatives and projects as assigned.
Create native mobile apps for iOS and Android.
Collaborate UX design, wire frames, etc.
Develop web applications for device agnostic solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
7 years of IT experience and Application Development
Minimum 3 years of solid mobile Application Development experience using java and or
objective C. Prefer 2 years' experience in Web Development.
Experience as a lead developer, working with onsite and remote team members in a matrix environment.
Experience working with internal and external customers.
Experience working with UX design for mobile, wire frames, illustrations, prototyping.
Previous experience supporting complex projects with complicated business drivers and multiple stakeholders
Extensive Experience in:
Mobile Application Development for iPhone, iPad, Android, windows.
Using one or more of Java, Objective C / Xcode, JavaScript, HTML5
Using one or more of cross platform technologies such as Phonegap, AppCelerator, Sencha touch, etc.
Frameworks such as Spring MVC, Struts, etc.
JavaScript frameworks like JQuery mobile
SQLlite
XML/XSLT/XPath, Web Services (REST)
Mobile security considerations
UX design for mobile
App certification and deployment. Appstore / market place submission process.
Exposure / some experience in:
Data-modeling and database design skills with any of the following databases: Oracle, MySQL orSQL Server any of the following App Servers: Weblogic, JBoss, Tomcat, or Websphere
Experience in the following is a plus:
Web Application development experience using Java J2EE using JSP, Javascript, HTML and MVCframeworks using frameworks such as Spring MVC, Struts etc.
Developing Rich Internet Application using JavaScript frameworks like jQuery
Must have developed skills in Java, C#/Xcode, HTML5, Spring MVC, XHTML, XML.
Requires a thorough understanding of mobile security concepts, mobile.
A team player with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
The person should be able to work closely with customers (internal and external), as well as onsite and offshore team members.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required, along with demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and customer relationship building.
Requires an excellent understanding of the full software lifecycle, including functional requirement gathering, design and development, testing of software applications and documenting requirements and technical specifications and the ability to work with BA's, architects and system analysts.
Ability to multi-task while maintaining high quality of deliverables.
Solid understanding of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Good writing and communication skills.
Must have at least one app posted to two different platform app stores - Market Place and
AppStore or have had apps in production.)
Self-starter with the ability to act as technical lead and lead developer for assigned projects.
Education:
BA/BS Degree is required.
