Job Summary
The Global Travel Manager will be responsible for the implementation and ongoing management of Iron Mountain’s global travel and corporate T&E card programs. Responsibilities include sourcing strategy and execution, policy development and compliance, provider and program performance management, communications and associated travel security and awareness programs on a global basis.

Essential Functions
Development and execution of global sourcing strategy to include Corporate Travel Services and technology, Air, Hotel, Rail, Car Rental and Corporate Housing programs resulting in the achievement of increased traveler satisfaction, reduced travel security risk, cost savings, and the promotion of an expanded preferred provider programs.
Benchmarking and development of global travel and business expense policy and procedures
Benchmarking of hospitality and industry trends.
Deliver an enhanced traveler experience that balances Iron Mountain’s fiscal responsibilities with needs and positive travel experience.
Improved engagement and communication with Iron Mountain’s travelers, to include but not limited to, monitoring of executive travel, cultural and security awareness when traveling outside of countries of origin, promotion of policy and program responsibilities, and development of improved communication protocols.
Collaboration and coordination with Corporate Marketing and Sales to optimize meeting and event management spend.
Improved metrics and transparency. Develop improved metrics to quantify meaningful travel statistics that highlight travel volumes, compliance and areas of opportunities.
Partner with corporate security to review and improve our traveler security and disaster recovery programs. This is to include modeling various challenges that may occur and developing and testing our recommended response.
Position requires thorough knowledge and experience in developing and managing global travel programs for Fortune 500 companies, including, but not limited to policy development, TMC performance management, negotiations of TMCs, airlines, hotels, car rental agencies, events, and corporate housing programs, effective program communications, and compliance management. Sourcing experience and designing webpage content is a plus. The position also requires the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate must work well within a team environment and be able to positively influence outcomes with business areas that may be required to deal with change. In this role, the candidate will communicate with internal and external stakeholders in a positive and influential manner.

Conduct a Travel Management Company (TCM) sourcing review.
Establish Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators for the Travel Management Company and measure performance via periodic business reviews.
Review current TCM Program and make recommendations for improvement, including in or out sourcing of current functions (RFPs, White Glove service, etc.).
Collaborate with Iron Mountain global colleagues to expand the travel program and related technologies to all global locations.
Review current T&E program.
Liaise with Iron Mountain travelers and travel planners, event managers, Iron Mountain global Procurement, HR, Marketing, and Security colleagues, the TMC, corporate housing provider, and preferred travel suppliers. 
Monitor compliance to policies (air, hotel, car rental , car service & corporate apartments)
Set annual savings goals and report achievements on a monthly basis
Research and analyze hospitality and industry trends
Facilitate periodic Customer Satisfaction Surveys and create appropriate action plans
Lead and provide direction to the TMC and drive proactive program improvements. Clearly communicate the Travel and Expense Policies to Iron Mountain travelers and effectively manage program compliance and the change management process.

Problem Solving:
Individual should have ability to trouble-shoot issues and resolve / recommend solutions. Candidate in this position will be able to independently form conclusions, evaluate alternatives and make recommendations based on facts and a sound business case.

Nature of Impact:
Position will deliver value to the organization by expanding the Travel Program globally, implementing consistent global policies, procedures and technology, improving customer satisfaction and lowering total cost of ownership with regard to the Travel and Business Expense Programs.

Area of Impact:
This role will impact all global business areas whose associates travel or incur other business related expenses. The role will be responsible for global and regional categories strategies and be part of the Procurement organization.

Travel Requirements:
5%-15% Globally

Other Qualifications:
• Knowledge of meetings and event management

• Experience/knowledge/sensitivity to cultural differences

• Procurement experience preferred

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

• Experience preparing and giving presentations is preferred

• Previous supervisory experience is preferred
