: Events/Junior Golf Tour Fall Intern

: Serve as on-site staff and event coordination for **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Junior Golf Tour events.
Assist Director of Events in event-related projects as assigned across multiple sport platforms
Assist in implementation and logistics of on-campus events
Marketing, Outreach and Partnerships
Assist staff in execution of marketing and outreach plan in effort to maximize tournament participation
Assist in implementation of social media plan
Assist in creating sponsor fulfillment recaps and reports
Equipment & Inventory Management
Organize and maintain inventory of tournament equipment, supplies and gifts; ensure proper and timely delivery and on-site management of these items
Set up and manage on-site tournament registration
Tournament operations & administration
Participate in pre-tournament course set up as needed including selection of tournament hole locations and yardages and course marking
Prepare tournament documents including scorecards, hole locations, rules sheets and pairings
Starting and scoring of groups
Post scores to web
Serve as on-course rules official
Planning and implementation of post-round activities (educational and/or entertainment activities)
On-site volunteer coordination & training
Communications & Media
Update on-site social media and blog for web site
Produce post-round re-caps
Send results to media distribution list
Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
Experience or familiarity with the game of golf.
Experience with event coordination or logistics
Desire to work collaboratively with colleague
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects
Ability to multi task in a fast-paced organization
A superior work ethic
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.
The employee will be working on a campus and on golf courses and will be required to move within the campus, both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Tournaments will be on the weekend so interns must be available to work weekends and long days in order to fulfil the needs of the position
The employee must be able to travel throughout the United States (travel expenses provided by employer)
Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
