Founded by industry veteran Alan Fuerstman, Montage Laguna Beach is owned and operated by Montage Hotels & Resorts; a new luxury hotel operating company focused on serving the affluent traveler. Montage Hotels & Resorts offers a departure from the norm in the already established high-end luxury hotel & resort markets. The company's name was carefully selected to define and reflect its identity. A "montage" literally means a composite of closely juxtaposed elements; an artistic assemblage or compilation. The name was chosen to portray a collection of high-end properties -- each maintaining an individual style, while reflecting the attractions of its respective setting. According to Fuerstman, Montage plans to service a steadily increasing segment of travelers: affluent families who are transitioning from older, legacy properties to newer, "lifestyle" properties with top quality services and amenities. The company is committed to developing long-lasting relationships with its guests through a combination of personalized service, exceptional accommodations, fine dining and ambiance, and rejuvenating spas.
