The Yahoo! Commerce team is looking for truly exceptional people, who have a passion for building consumer web products, strong analytical abilities, attention to detail and follow-through, and proven ability to work effectively with all levels within the organization and externally with advertisers and partners. Ideally, you will have a strong interest in working on Yahoo! Travel. In this role, you will:
Lead the full product lifecycle – from ideation, requirements definition, through to delivery – collaborating with geographically dispersed teams. There is a heavy focus on yahoo platform integration requiring a lot of technical requirements communication and tracking.
Define ecommerce and platform products, including feed processing, deduping, taxonomy, catalog, and enrichment components.
Clearly communicate and align with a clear set of business priorities and consumer imperatives at all times.
Energize key stakeholders and team members responsible for the product lifecycle.
Use data and customer input to inform optimization or new product development. Customers will include consumers, advertisers, and partners.
Execute and launch with rapid iterations.
Position requirements and key attributes:
BA/BS with 8 years of product management experience, degree in a technical discipline preferred with an MBA a plus.
Strong technical background and prior experience developing web-based consumer products.
Former experience working with ecommerce and platform products, including feed processing, deduping, taxonomy, catalog, and enrichment components.
Problem solver with analytical abilities; total comfort working with data.
Strong product acumen with a balance of strategy and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize competing opportunities, balance market needs with business priorities, drive detailed trade-offs over the product lifecycle, manage conflict, and articulate the rationale behind objectives.
Successful at leading projects across a global, matrixed organization. Willingness to work across timezones.
Knowledge of Agile software development process is a plus.
