JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: Coordinates travel arrangements and related travel services for business travelers. Ensures department compliance with all industry regulations applicable to licensed travel agencies and ticketing requirements. Job Duties: Receives travel requests and, via airline computer system connected to a national travel database, researches and determines the best and most economical means of travel for employees on commercial aircraft or other transportation modes. Processes and documents travel requests, noting fare and/or issuing deadlines and available credits. Books appropriate reservations and ensures all necessary information and/or forms are provided to traveler. Makes hotel, car rental and other necessary travel arrangements for employees, which may involve immediate action, ticketing, or changes. Makes travel arrangements for large incentive groups, which require special handling such as special fares and direct contact with each traveler. Provides accounting with monthly reports for charging appropriate spender codes, prepares monthly occupancy reports, end-of-year report, and relocation reports. Reviews, maintains and updates the list of acceptable hotels in areas of frequent travel and, where possible, secures corporate discounts at these hotels. Other duties as assigned. AA/EOE ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Associate Degree or equivalent work experience. 2-5 years of related work experience. Experience in the travel industry, including experience with airline computer systems. Thorough knowledge of available air carriers and the airline industry. Ability to read and use various airline and travel reference materials.
