Icahn buys 14 million shares in Herbalife, eyes options for company

In a move that should make feel Herbalife happy, billionaire investor Carl Icahn has said that he owns 14 million shares, or 13 percent, of the weight-loss and vitamin firm. Thus, Icahn has put at rest weeks of speculation over exactly what the famed corporate raider might be doing. In the process, Icahn has put himself on a collision path with William Ackman, a rival activist investor who described Herbalife ‘a house of cards’, whose share price may crash to zero.
