An important aspect of government travel is working in close tandem with senior security personnel. At every step, security personnel need to be intimated about plans involving the movement of the department members.
Government travel executives need to have: the ability to work as part of a small team; good organization skills; the ability to meet deadlines; good interpersonal skills including strong oral and written communication, negotiation, liaison skills, and a commitment to client service. They are required to demonstrate personal commitment, awareness, and knowledge of the transport industry and its regulatory environment.
