Luxury travel agents take care of the travel needs of individuals who desire more care and attention in their travel planning. Their clients are mostly made up of senior corporate executives, business owners, and discerning world travelers.
Luxury travel involves delivering focused hands on, high attention to detail, and creative arrangements for every aspect of clients’ travel lives. It also involves maintaining clean records of current clients; providing client reporting as necessary; maintaining detailed database of prospects; working hand-in-hand with the Personal Travel Advisor team to provide seamless care for the clientele; attending company meetings and events; meeting and exceeding agreed upon targets; providing assistance to clients of other team members’ when they are away from office
Luxury travel agents have the ability to: interface at senior levels of the company, including in-person presentations and strong closing skills; articulate, inspiring and confident via phone; provide the highest level of customer service; leverage networking relationships to grow portfolio; grow and maintain long term client relationships.
Luxury travel agents are required to have: a passion for travel and luxury travel; excellent customer service and communication skills; a luxury mind set; a strong commitment to the company values; working experience nationally or internationally, preferably in tourism; and most importantly, a sense of humor and a smile. As individuals, luxury travel agents need to be: motivated, responsible, and reliable; creative and innovative; honest; and be able to work well in a multicultural team. Individuals with excellent cruise knowledge are usually preferred over other candidates.
