Tailor Made Travel Jobs
Tailor made travel executives are mostly part of an agency’s Reservations team. They are specifically employed to sell niche holidays.
The role of a tailor made travel executive involves: receiving incoming calls and liaising with clients over their holiday requirements; booking tailor made holidays to destinations all over the world; building relationships with clients in order to be able to pro-actively sell and gain a loyal client base for repeat bookings; and delivering sales targets by maximising profit and potential sales opportunities at all times while offering an exceptional and personalized service.
Tasks and responsibilities of a tailor made travel executive may also include: up-selling and adding on of ancillary products including car hire, insurance, airport parking, etc.; experience in dealing with the public by telephone; processing efficiently all reservations; ensuring all bookings are dealt with accurately; and administration duties required to complete bookings.
Tailor made travel executives need to satisfy the following requirements: have prior tailor made travel industry experience; be well-traveled; have excellent sales technique supported by evidence of previous performance; be confident and enthusiastic; demonstrate credibility when discussing travel option; and be hard working and good team player. In addition to this, they need to have a good knowledge of net fares and worldwide destinations and also a will to work towards pre-determined sales targets.
