Travel Administrator Jobs

Travel administrators oversee the overall administration functions of a travel agency/enterprise and ensure the smooth functioning between its various departments.
Typical duties and responsibilities of a travel administrator include: coordinating various office support services, including purchasing and facilities management; selecting office vendors and supervising purchasing processes; directing mailroom and maintenance staff; coordination of regular maintenance staff; studying and reviewing company or department procedures; recommending management action to improve standard operating procedures; presenting comparisons on costs, risks, and benefits; developing and testing new procedures; taking initiative on requests and inquiries of administrative nature; and preparing and controlling administrative budgets.
Travel administrators must have experience in managing teams, computer skills, and be financial savvy. They must be able to focus on implementing programs. They must also be able to juggle many tasks at one time. The ideal travel administrator will be: an excellent communicator, energetic, highly-motivated, organized, imaginative, and fluent in English.
A travel administrator works in close tandem with various executives, to ensure the smooth functioning of administrative activities, who may be a/an: Executive Assistant, Senior Executive Assistant, Senior Administrative Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Entry-Level Administrative Assistant, Senior Office/Facilities Manager, Office/Facilities Manager, Human Resources Assistant, Marketing Assistant, Sales Assistant, Project Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator, Front Desk Coordinator, Receptionist, Office Assistant, File Clerk, Senior Data Entry Specialist, or a Senior Customer Service Representative.
