Travel Advisor Jobs

Travel advisors help customers find the perfect holiday by giving them real insight about places. They engage customers by bringing pictures in the brochures to life in order to get them interested in the various travel packages offered by the agency.

Travel advisors have an outgoing approach, a friendly personality, and a genuine passion for travel. They gain product knowledge through learning and experience, and use this effectively with every customer ensuring they meet all their sales targets. Travel advisors also contribute to the success of the agency by sharing ideas and working as part of a team.

To perform the job, travel advisors need to possess: excellent customer service and sales skills, decisive and successful problem solving skills, a strong knowledge of geography – domestic and international destination knowledge, and a passion for detail. Patience, flexibility, and a good sense of humor are also required.

The success factor of a travel advisor depends on the ability to adapt his/her individualistic style and approach to suit individual customers. He/she will work to: contribute towards shop's sales and profits targets with holiday sales & foreign currency; minimise discount costs and losses, and maximise profit margins; deliver/exceed personal holiday sales and productivity/conversion targets; personally deliver memorable customer service to ensure future customer loyalty with both face to face and telephone customers; and participate and willingly cooperate with colleagues to achieve team objectives.

Candidates must be self-motivated and must be able to work under pressure while having an orientation for quality sales.

Why People Prefer TravelingCrossing to Other Job Sites
"Using people and sophisticated technology, we search tens of thousands of employer websites, newspaper classified sites, job boards, government sites, public interest sites and more looking for jobs for you."
Using salespeople they call employers and try and get them to pay hundreds of dollars for a job posting
We bring all of the jobs we find into our database.
The job site only posts jobs in its site that companies pay to post.
We filter all the jobs and show you what we find that matches your interests.
They only bring in the jobs to their database that employers pay to post on their site.
We keep a low profile (we do not advertise) and only allow subscribers on our site so there are fewer applications for the jobs we find.
The job site allows any job seekers with an Internet connection, free access. It aggressively advertises the job site to bring as many job seekers as they can to each job, so employers are flooded with applications and will pay to post again.
