SUMMARY:The Leisure Travel Advisor will be responsible for providing knowledgeable and consultative service based on experience and expert knowledge of the industry. The Leisure Travel Advisor will manage travel planning from inquiry stage, closing the sale, processing reservations to final release of documentation and providing in-travel support.RESPONSIBILITIES:Research various destinations and means of travel to recommend travel services according to client need.Diagnose clients' specifications and wishes and suggest suitable solutions Calculate itinerary costs and collect deposits and balances.Organize travels from beginning to end, through booking tickets and accommodation, tours, transfers, rental cars, etc.Advise clients on travel arrangements (i.e. visas, passports, vaccinations, etc.) and keep clients up to date with any changes.Use promotional techniques and prepare promotional materials to create demand and generate sales.Handle unforeseen problems and complaintsAttend conferences and industry functions to maintain familiarity with suppliers and tourism trends.Create and update electronic records of clients using agency technology.Network and build a book of business while maintaining relationships with other key stakeholders.Keep financial statements and documents.Reach revenue and profit targets.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsPrior Experience creating and booking leisure travel itineraries and services, preferably in the luxury market.Ability to research and price airline itineraries, recommend appropriate solutions and complete ticketing.
