Job Description Sales/Reservations Agent: Managing inventory, billing, pre-arrival and post departure tasks as required. Act as a resource to the client for information. Maintain accurate files and reports. Must be able to prioritize job functions in order to meet deadlines. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information. Must be able to communicate effectively with other departments to achieve common business goals. Answer all incoming calls promptly, in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner. Answer guest inquiries. Book reservations while focusing on maximizing revenue. Enter reservations into the computer according to standard operating procedures. Handle all special reservations, to include V.I.P. reservations, packages and discounts. Monitor daily sales activity and possible problem situations. Be able to perform all duties of Guest Services Agent and assist at front desk as required by Management. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent. One year minimum job related experience preferred within a front desk or customer service role. Valid, clean drivers license. Computer literate: Strong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Adaptable to learning new and customized software programs such as HomeAway V12.net Preferred Qualifications: Adept at managing fast paced environment and putting people at ease. Warm, personable and energetic demeanor with professional and pleasant phone manner. Comfortable interfacing with a diverse group of individuals. Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English. Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to prioritize, identify problems, and seek solutions and follow up and follow through with a variety of tasks. Projects a professional and polished image that inspires confidence and trust. Must be able to abide by the company appearance standards and compliance with the designated uniform. Dedicated to exceeding service standards and providing services and standards to the highest caliber. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization. Valid, clean drivers license. Must be able to work variable shift, weekends, holidays, and special events, as needed. Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
