Posting Number S00853P Classification Title Benefited Hourly Position Type Disclaimer Job Summary/Basic Function The Travel Finance Coordinator reports to the Assistant Director of LU Send. This position is designated to processing incoming payments and/or donations and outgoing payments related to University travel through LU Send. The position will help develop and maintain an effective and sustainable system for processing travel finances. He/she will regularly communicate with Procurement, Financial Planning and Budget, Donor Services, and Cashiers in order to ensure that all processes related to travel funds are executed in accordance with University policy. Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience Four-year college degree, with a concentration in finance, accounting, math or business, 2 years in finance related function is required. Experience in university finance is preferred. Strong mathematical and analytical abilities and well-developed communication skills required. Experience in international travel, cross-cultural service, or travel related finance is preferred. ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES ESSENTIAL TO THE FUNCTION OF THE JOB Communication and Comprehension *Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well articulated information. *Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner. *Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. to a variety of business and community customers and associates. *Strong organizational skills. *Strong mathematical skills Problem Solving *Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature. Physical and Sensory Abilities *Occasionally required to travel to local and campus locations. *Occasional international or domestic travel may be required. *Frequently required to sit for extended periods to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard. (If not administrative duties, such as labor, define general physical abilities. *Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally. *Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building. *Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business. *Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds. Preferred Qualifications Excellent computer skills, including high proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel. Experience working with Banner, Argos, Assist, Infor, Sharepoint and/or Terra Dotta is preferred. Work Hours 40
