Summary

As the Corporate Reservations Agent, you will be responsible for providing warm and sincere assistance, quotes prices effectively, sell accommodation, and services that match the needs of the guests. Also, responsible for answering reservations calls and selling accommodations according to reservations standards. As well, accountable for inputting reservations received via telephone and e-mail.

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.

Answers department calls in a timely and professional manner.

Ensure that all guest details are entered into the reservations system.

Responds quickly and efficiently to prospective guest requests.

Take care of group reservations aspects in a timely and accurate manner.

Enter alerts for VIP guests, special request, and billing details.

Charges non-refundable reservations; as well as, processing all transient deposits when required.

Responsible for checking all “no-show” reservations; as well as, processing all transient deposits when required.

Responsible for shift tasks associated with the reservations department daily checklist.

Responsible for training Front Desk Agents on the reservations system software. This is only for the Miami-Dade and Broward County properties.

Support and guide front desk agents with any issues they may encounter with reservations for the Miami-Dade and Broward County properties.

Responsible for reinforcing Booking.com and Expedia.com policies for all properties, disputing any cancellations or no-show fees with customers or agencies.

Responsible for sending the daily report for all properties.

Accountable for creating reservations system credentials for new employees.

Responsible for running reservations reports for each property and report any performance to hotel managers or general managers in a timely manner.

Also, other duties may be required as directed by your Manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Required Education and Experience

A minimum of (3) years of Room Reservations Experience in hotels preferred.

A minimum of (2) years of front desk experience preferred.

Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Excellent Organization skills.

Basic accounting and mathematical skills required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Superior phone etiquette, manners, record keeping, and follow-up skills.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and to bend or to stand on a stool as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week.
