Vacation Travel Specialist Job SummaryResponsible for acting as a liaison between customers and the company assisting in booking travel reservations based on the customers travel incentive offer   Primary responsibilities

- Answer incoming reservation calls as assigned, and place outbound calls as assigned by supervisor

- Follow approved call flow, scripting and proper phone etiquette techniques to provide a positive customer experience 

- Present, as outlined in script, all upgrades within pricing structure for each booking based on destination and product.

- Ability to deescalate calls and resolve customer complaints.

- Attend and satisfactorily complete all required call center training sessions

- Ability to use computer based applications to take phone calls in fast paced environment

- Computer literacy required to provide web support for customers processing requests online

- Validate customer data, assuring that all information in our database is accurate and make updates as needed

- Verify that the caller is in an appropriate status for the booking process prior to beginning the booking process

- Use retention strategies to reduce cancellations, including selling the value of current and alternate options

- Ability to communicate effectively with management regarding customer feedback

- Use defined travel resources and vendors to book reservations within defined pricing structure  

- Ability to use multiple booking tools to make a complete travel reservation

- Process booking, payment and document the file with attention to detail and accuracy

- Meet defined departmental metrics

- Outbound call campaigns

- Any additional duties as requested 

Other Skills:

- Sales skills must have worked in a business to consumer sales where they have processed transaction or been held accountable to an individual or team sales goal/budget

- Proven oral and written communication skills

- Responsible and dependable possessing a high level of Professionalism with a positive attitude

- Ability to use Windows operating system to navigate between various windows

- Excellent Customer Service including handling difficult customers using Active Listening and Empathy skills

- Internet Shopping Skills including searching out the Best Price'

- Experienced in overcoming difficulties and using logical problem solving skills

- Highly motivated Self-starter who can also work well as part of a team to obtain company goals

- Ability to manage change effectively in a fast-paced high pressure sales environment

- Coachable and takes personal accountability being goals focused with an attention to quality and details

- Confident, creative, quick on their feet' Sales Skills using rapport building and demonstrated ability to overcoming objections

- Experience demonstrates quality and stability

- High School Graduate or GED 

- Minimum 1-year Call Center Experience

- Hospitality or Travel &Tourism Background (Helpful)
