This position is accountable for the timely and accurate automated servicing of travel arrangements for all travelers on our dedicated CU team, perform all ticketing duties, and provide travel counseling with an exceptionally high level of service to all employees of our client. RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS3-5 years of reservation experience with a full service agencyGroup Experienced preferredEffective human communication skillsWorking knowledge of industry and agency accountingStrong organizational skillsDetailed orientedProven record of exceptional customer skillsPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Provide business travel services through the computer, focusing on clients corporate policy and select suppliers where applicable. This includes air, rail, car, hotel and sometimes personal travel. Counsel clients on efficient routes, lowest available fares, exchange rates, travel products and Christopherson Business Travel services in response to identified specific client needs by effective use and knowledge of the airline industry. Ensure optimum customer service capabilities through the effective use of phone systems and positive telephone service techniques, and positive face-to-face communications. Act on travel requests including those, which may have complex and lengthy specifications. Accurately utilize and maintain automated client profile to ensure travelers preferences are satisfied. Provide clients with accurate travel related sources for information to assist with enroute changes and unexpected situations Utilize reservation equipment in accurate, timely and proficient manner to support account development efforts and maintain quality of service. Contribute to an office environment, which will facilitate operating efficiency. For example: maintaining an orderly work place, following office operating procedures, keeping current on systems enhancements and continuously promote and exhibit positive behavior. Be available and responsive to our clients at all times during normal operating hours to handle any request, including emergency and complex requests Other duties may include internal client requests and duties not necessarily related to travelCRITICAL SKILLS AND JOB COMPLEXITY Knowledge & Skills - Responsible for knowing the travel policies of accounts serviced by their office - Customer service skills are of primary importance since the counselor is in telephone contact with corporate clients as well as vendors. These skills should be coupled with the ability to deal and communicate with the public in a manner consistent with the Companys position on complete customer service. - General knowledge of all travel related products and services is important to ensure customer awareness and education and capitalize on all cross-sell opportunities - Must be willing to work as part of the overall office team assisting others when their own workload is down - Demonstrate proficient and effective computer skills and keep up with system enhancements including format shortcuts to streamline the reservation process as well as significant knowledge and use of all available, alternate communication products such as e-mail and Outlook Customer Service - Communicate effectively with clients, manager and agent to promote open door policy - Respond to customer complaints promptly - Timely and effective problem solving - Effective documentation and record keeping of customer feedback - Effective utilization of resources - Analyze situations to effectively change or facilitate new procedures - Continually monitor client expectations Decision Making -The counselors major decisions concern the most economical and efficient manner in which to handle the clients travel arrangements and\/or service needs. - Recommendations regarding specific destinations and\/or products based on discussions with the client regarding expectations and cost effectiveness. - Efficient prioritization of requests and professional handling is required.BenefitsChristopherson Business Travel Benefits PortfolioMedical and prescription drug coverageHealth Savings account(HSA)Dental CoverageVoluntary Vision CoverageFlexible Spending Account(FSA)Basic life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD & D) insuranceLong-term disability401(k) retirement savings plan with matchVoluntary Supplemental insurance products529 College Savings PlanPTO and Holidays
