Lafayette, Indiana is welcoming 150 new jobs to come from Nanshan America Co., a Chinese company that manufactures aluminum auto parts.
Nanshan executives, along with Governor Mitch Daniels, announced that the company would be building a new factory in Lafayette. The Chinese company will invest as much as $98.5 million for a 420,000 square-foot factory as well as a 15,000 square-foot office building.
According to the Indiana Economic Development Corp., the project resulted from Daniels trip to Asia in November. The state has offered the company over $1.3 million in incentives.
The plant is set to become operational in 15 month, with hiring to start in the fall.
