Results Bellingham is an inbound call center that handles calls from a variety of customers, including those of the health care and energy industries.

The closure is surprising since just a few days earlier, Results held meetings about new incentives for overtime work and other programs.

In the letter to employees explaining the termination, the company said it does not “expect to obtain additional business for the Bellingham office, so this situation is expected to be permanent.”

The company started as a small operation in June 2007 in Bellingham but landed two major clients, allowing it to move into a bigger spot at the Bellingham Business Park that summer.

There were an estimated 154 employees were at the center when the notices were given.
