Valero Makes Changes to Louisiana Refinery

Valero Energy Corporation has announced that it has completed changes to its refinery in St. Charles, Louisiana. The gasoline unit has been converted from a thermal cracking unit to a fluidic catalytic cracking unit. The refinery produces 185,000 barrels per day. A company spokesman said the unit will be able to increase its rates after conversion.
