Jobless Claims Still too High to Alleviate Concerns about Sluggish Economy

While there has been a slight dip in jobless claims, the economy is not recovering as well as previously predicted. Some analysts blame high gasoline and food prices as contributing factors in the slow-down of job growth. The one positive sign is that since productivity has slowed, new hiring is expected by businesses to keep up with demand.
