Economists say weak demand cause of low hiring numbers

A recent Wall Street Journal survey among over 50 economists has found the main reason that the employers were not hiring more readily is due to the lack of demand in the job market. Their findings were echoed by some executives. The overall outlook of economy was also thought to be gloomier than forecast earlier this year.
