Airborne Maintenance to Save Some Ohio Jobs

Airborne Maintenance, a subsidiary of PAC Worldwide, is proposing a project valued at more than $5.7 million to set up maintenance, repair, engineering and manufacturing operations that could create 430 jobs.

The has been granted tax credits that should help keep at least some of 6,000 jobs previously lost at the Wilmington Air Park.

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a 10-year, 65% job creation tax credit valued at $3.9 million for Airborne Maintenance to set up at the airport.

These jobs would help at least some of the workers laid off when DHL Express moved operations from the airport, causing support companies to close or drastically reduce operations late last year.

PAC Worldwide was also awarded a 40% job creation tax credit for six years, to expand its existing Middletown facility, creating 35 jobs and retaining 183.
