Interviews to take place virtually over webcam

The new video format to interview candidates from entry level to top management is being used by companies like Rio Tinto and Starwood Hotels. It is believed that video interviews are cost efficient and time savers, but can also cause uncomfortable moments for candidates. It is estimated that 42% of first-round interviews will take place over webcam in 2011.
