Over the next year and a half, 200 new jobs will be added to the BAE Systems facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
BAE Systems announced yesterday it will eliminate 500 of its positions in Texas. Two hundred of those positions will be transferred to Fort Wayne.
BAE manufactures electronic parts for commercial and defense aircraft. The Fort Wayne plant currently has 775 employees. The new positions will be in engineering and production.
BAE will receive over $2 million in performance based tax credits. It will also receive another $242 thousand in training grants.
