New Lowe’s Store Creates 112 Jobs By Erik Even | Dated: 03-01-2009

A brand new Lowe’s home improvement store has opened in Ticonderoga, New York, creating 112 new jobs.

Most of the jobs are full-time positions, 96% of which were filled by locals.

“It’s nice to travel a mile and a half and come to work in my community,” said area man David Patnode, who used to commute to Vermont to work.

The store doesn’t open officially until this week, at a grand opening set for March 5th.
