The Bellingham Herald said it will cut the jobs of 10 people and slash salaries by up to 5%.
The Whatcom County, Washington daily paper said that in addition to personnel cuts, remaining staffers will face salary cuts of between 2.5% and 5%.
The newspaper laid off 13 people last June. After this latest round of layoffs, the Herald will employ 106 people.
The newspaper is owned by McClatchy of Sacramento, California.
