Affiliated Computer Hiring 500 in Texas

Affiliated Computer Services, or ACS, is in the process of expanding its presence in San Antonio, Texas with 500 jobs to support a new contract.

The Dallas-based company will be providing customer service on behalf of an unnamed Fortune 500 company.

ACS is holding two job fairs this week to fill as many as these open positions as possible. The company is also taking applications online.

ACS wants to have the new hires in training classes this month.

Affiliated Computer Services has 70,000 employees and 500 offices in more than 100 countries. In Texas, the company has nearly 6,000 employees across 26 offices.

In San Antonio, ACS currently has 700 employees scattered throughout seven offices, working on a range of customer-service contracts that support insurance, health care, information technology and Medicaid/Medicare contract work.
