AT&T to Create 3,000 Jobs

Telecommunications giant AT&T plans to add 3,000 jobs in 2009 as part of a multibillion-dollar capital-spending plan.AT&T will spend up to $18 billion this year, with two-thirds of the funds used to expand its wireless and broadband networks.
The company will add up to 3,000 jobs in 2009 to support increased customer demand.
Despite the job additions, AT&T expects to proceed with the nearly 12,000 job cuts it announced in December.
