Round Rock, Texas-based Dell, the world’s number two manufacturer of personal computers, is cutting more jobs this week.
The layoffs are taking place at Dell’s assembly facility in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and in Central Texas. The company will not say how many people are being let go.
Dell cut 11,000 jobs in the last fiscal year. The firm employed 78,900 as of January 30th.
The Winston-Salem plant employs 1,100 people. The facility is not being shuttered.
Central Texas is home to the company’s global headquarters.
What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
