Veterans Would Get a Job Boost With Obama’s New Proposal

President Obama unveiled a proposal for a Veterans Jobs Corps on February 3, 2012. Speaking at a media event in Arlington, Virginia, Obama said his plan would cost $1 billion. Along with another $4 billion in federal grants, it would focus on creating job opportunities for American veterans, who experience unemployment rates far higher than the national average.
