Cloud Computing Will Create Jobs By jim  |  Dated: 03-07-2012

Research has been provided that shows cloud computing has the potential to create nearly 14 million jobs around the world by the time 2015 comes around. It is also believed that a lot of these available jobs will be in different areas, aside from just IT positions. The research came from the IDC, which was sponsored by the ever so popular Microsoft Corporation. The research was performed as a way of finding out what types of benefits cloud computing would have in the near future. It is amazing to think that in just three years, millions of jobs could be created all thanks to cloud computing. This would help to put many people back to work, especially those who have been seeking employment for quite a while now.

It is definitely a fact that 14 million new jobs is a large number. However, the global workforce actually consists of well over 3 billion different jobs which mean that the amount of jobs being created is just a smaller percentage of the amount of jobs needed. It is also believed that out of the 14 million jobs that will be created, only about 1.17 million of those jobs will be available in the North America area. A lot of the jobs will actually be found in other areas outside of the United States, which includes India, China, and other areas, especially those with markets that seem to be emerging.

However, even if there will only be 1.17 million jobs available because of cloud computing, it is still something positive to look at. Cloud computing is definitely working for the people, not against them, because it is helping to provide some jobs and seems to be getting off on the right foot, especially at a time when people are desperately in need of employment. The author of the research study, John Grantz, explains how cloud computing can be beneficial for the economy. He says that many people commonly think that cloud computing actually eliminates jobs and positions. However, this is entirely untrue. Instead, Grantz says that cloud computing will be a job creator, not a job eliminator, and that it will help job growth in areas all around the world, as well as the United States.

Many people want to know what types of jobs will be created and whether or not these jobs will simply be IT position. It is expected that a lot of the jobs will be IT positions, those who are developers of cloud or specialists. However, it is believed that some of the positions will not be IT related, which will be ideal for those who are not specifically trained to work as an IT professional. In fact, a lot of people that do not work in the IT field will be able to thank cloud computing for many different career opportunities that will be available within the next three years, especially because there are several different types of careers that are linked in some way to cloud computing.

Only TravelingCrossing consolidates every job it can find in the domain and puts all of the job listings it locates in one place.

  • We have more jobs than any other job board.
  • We list jobs you will not find elsewhere that are hidden in small regional publications and employer websites
  • We collect jobs from more than 4,429,376 websites and post them on our site.
  • We are private, and therefore far fewer people are applying for the jobs on our site than are applying for those on public job boards.
What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
