American Power Conversion will relocate its Rhode Island manufacturing & distribution operations from West Warwick to a plant in Middletown, Pennsylvania, eliminating 75 jobs. Another 25 jobs will be moved.
The firm’s corporate headquarters will remain in Rhode Island.
Laid off employees will get a severance package and placement assistance.
The company manufactures equipment to manage power for computers and electronic equipment. It was founded in 1981, and bought by France’s Schneider Electric in 2007.
