Lam Research Cutting 375

Microchip equipment supplier Lam Research will cut 10% of its workforce, about 375 positions.Fremont, California-based Lam manufactures machines that etch and clean silicon wafers used for microchips. The firm cut 600 jobs in November.
The layoffs will target regular, temporary and contract employees, and will take effect by June.
Lam Research has been in business for 30 years, and has manufacturing plants in North America, Europe, and Asia.
