IBM Sending US Jobs to India

International Business Machines will inform an undisclosed number of US employees that their jobs are being eliminated, with much of the work being sent to India.An IBM spokesperson declined to comment on the plan.
IBM managers have been receiving training from human-resources specialists on handling the layoffs. Earlier this year, IBM sent notices of layoffs to 4,600 employees in its software, sales, semiconductor and finance groups.
IBM employed 398,500 people world-wide at the end of 2008.
