Jobless Claims Drop to Pre-Sandy Levels

It’s a matter of great relief that the number of jobless claims has fallen to pre-Sandy levels. The 343,000 claims filed last week is less by 29,000 that were filed during the previous week. If the unemployment claims are getting back to consistent levels, that’s also because 146,000 new jobs have been created in November which is very much in line with the average job growth during the past 12 months.
