Google-owned telecommunications giant Motorola Mobility is in the process dismissing 1,200 employees across 3 countries. This mass layoff is in response to the less than anticipated fourth quarter earnings, which have dipped 40% and resulted in a loss of approximately 1.5 billion dollars. Motorola is also in the process of relocating approximately 2,800 employees from its headquarters in Libertyville, Ill., to a Chicago location.
