Florida Creates Jobs at Jobs Agency

The Florida Agency for Workforce Innovation is establishing an Orlando call center to handle record numbers of callers with questions about their unemployment compensation.

The new call center will be operated by Hampton, Virginia call center firm Faneuil, and will employ 180. The company currently employs 2,400 people at 12 locations in Florida.

Florida’s unemployment rate reached 9.4% in February.
