American Express Closing North Carolina Office

American Express is closing its Business Travel office in High Point, North Carolina. One hundred jobs will be lost.

The credit card company plans further cuts globally.

Those laid off will receive severance and outplacement.

Founded in 1850, American Express is a diversified global financial services company headquartered in New York City. The company is best known for its credit card, charge card, and traveler’s cheque businesses.
