Tacoma, Washington’s Coast Engine & Equipment is going out of business. One hundred and eleven people will lose their jobs.
The firm repaired and refurbished locomotives, rail cars and other vehicles. Those laid off are welders, electricians, mechanics and other blue-collar workers.
Coast Engine was founded in 1947 to repair marine diesel engines. In 1988 the firm became a subsidiary of The Washington Companies.
What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
