DuPont to Eliminate 2,000 Jobs

DuPont will cut 2,000 jobs, or 3.5% of its global workforce, as part of the company’s restructuring plan.The company’s automotive, construction and industrial units are being targeted.
In the last year, DuPont has cut 4,500 jobs and laid off 10,000 contract workers.
E. I. du Pont de Nemours & Company is an American chemical company founded in July 1802 as a gunpowder mill by Eleuthère Irénée du Pont. Wilmington, Delaware-based DuPont is currently the world’s second largest chemical company.
