Foster Farms plans to restore all 1,300 jobs at its shuttered Pilgrim’s Pride chicken processing plant in Farmerville, Louisiana.
Pilgrim’s Pride shut down the plant on May 8th.
The chicken processor will buy the plant for $80 million, with $50 million of that coming from the state. Under the deal, 1,100 jobs must be restored within three years, but Foster intends to create 1,300 jobs.
Foster Farms is the West Coast’s leading poultry company, and has been privately owned and operated by the Foster Family since 1939. The company is based in Livingston, California.
What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
