The Salt Lake Tribune newspaper has eliminated three positions, as it restructures its newsroom.
The paper laid off a graphic designer, a web technician and an administrative assistant to the Editor.
The Tribune said new technology made the positions redundant. Severance is being offered. There are no plans for further newsroom layoffs at this time.
Founded in 1871 as The Mormon Tribune, The Salt Lake Tribune is the largest-circulated daily newspaper in Salt Lake City, Utah. It is distributed by Newspaper Agency Corporation, which also distributes the Deseret Morning News. The Tribune is currently owned by the Denver’s MediaNews Group.
What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
