The US Conference of Mayors has awarded a $550,000 grant to the St. Patrick Center in St. Louis, Missouri, as part of a green jobs training program.
St. Patrick Center’s Project GO! Green, in partnership with Gateway Greening and the National Corn to Ethanol Research Center at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, trains the homeless in green horticulture, and trains professionals in biofuels production.
St. Patrick Center is the largest provider of homeless services in Missouri, with more than 20 programs assisting more than 9,000 persons annually who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
