Rennoc to Shut Down, Lay Off 35

New York-based Visant has purchased Vineland, New Jersey’s Rennoc, and will shut down the company in Q4 2009, laying off 35 workers.The work at the Rennoc plant, which produced varsity jackets, will be sent to Visant facilities, most likely in the Dominican Republic. The firm also has plants in Georgia and Ohio.
Rennoc Corporation is a mens’ and boys’ athletic uniform manufacturer established in 1954 and incorporated in New Jersey. It employs a staff of approximately 90.
