Cincinnati to Cut 319 Jobs

As promised, the City of Cincinnati has announced it will cut 319 jobs and furlough non-union employees.Of the 319 positions to be eliminated, 138 are with the Police Department. No firefighters are targeted.
The rest of of the cuts affect the Health Department, Public Services, Sewers and Water.
The city has 5,280 employees. Approximately 1,800 are police officers or firefighters
The 2008 population of Cincinnati was 333,336.
