Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota laid off 100 workers during the past week.
Based in Eagan, the health insurance company claimed flat customer enrollment levels, resulting from the recession, were to blame. Layoffs affected mostly the information technology and operations business unites. Of the company’s 4,000 employees, around 300 have been laid off this year.
Laid-off employees will receive severance packages and outplacement services said spokeswoman Pam Lux.
What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
