Target Opens New Store in Henderson, NV

Targetopened a new store in Henderson, a Las Vegas suburb, on Sunday. The store created 165 jobs in the Las Vegas valley, which is reeling from a 13.4% jobless rate, the highest in the state. This is one of twenty six new stores Target is opening, creating 5000 jobs overall.

Target is the fifth largest retailer by sales revenue in the United States, and was 28th on the Fortune 500 as of 2008. It’s headquartered in Minneapolis and employs over 350,00 people.
